Front and back panels are made from MDF, while top, bottom and side panels of the cabinet are made of birch plywood. Exterior design reminds of vintage 1980s speakers. Internal braces, bitumen covered side walls and high quality sound-absorbing material contribute to the acoustic inertness of the cabinet. Clever and comprehensive damping keeps any cabinet resonances and artifacts to a minimum. As a result, Old School Monitors boast extremely precise, musical and natural sound.
These speakers are equipped with driver units custom made according to our specifications. 22mm fabric dome tweeter serves up transparent and natural sound. The tweeter is equipped with small waveguide for better dispersion and optimal radiation pattern. Custom 168mm driver is responsible for lower frequencies.
Crossover units with High End compliant audiophile components help achieve seamless integral sound. Internal wiring features 2.5mm Audiocore Prime Edition cables ending with two universal binding posts WBT nextgen 0708 CU. Low Mass technology (with minimum mass of the conductive part) ensures shortest possible signal path.
Old School Monitor are finished with real wood veneer (black ash, walnut, or oak) with sparkling anthracite front baffle. Black magnetic grilles, made of acoustically transparent fabric, protect the drivers and make the speakers look tidy and disciplined.
Due to the sealed enclosure these speakers will shine in any position: on the wall, on bookshelf or in the traditional Hi-Fi-system equipped with stands.
